Information Gathered Automatically and/or Invisibly

The web server records statistical information about the pages on this website that you retrieve, including the date, time and your IP number. No email addresses or other personal information is recorded in this manner. This information is used to monitor overall usage patterns of our website with the aim of improving its usefulness.

Information Intentionally Submitted

Information submitted by you, through one of our online order forms, is used only in the context that it was submitted. Copies of completed order forms are archived for historical reference. Credit card numbers submitted on order forms are also archived with the form, but are otherwise not recorded.

Keywords submitted for site searches are recorded and occasionally perused to determine the relevance of information on this site.

Security

There is presently no provision for electronically secure submission of order forms. Customers should especially be aware of this when including credit card information on an order form. We strongly advise that you consider using an alternative form of payment, such as an electronic bank transfer, or telephone us with your credit card details.

Mailing Lists

Several of our subscription and free services are transmitted by email. Our mailing lists are gathered from people who have specifically requested to be included and from people with whom we have a prior or established working relationship, including customers who complete an online order form for products or trial services.

We do not make use of mailing lists purchased or otherwise acquired from other sources.

We do not sell or otherwise make available our own mailing lists to third parties.

We do not advocate or purpetrate unsolicited commercial email (so-called "spam") in any form.

Removal from Mailing Lists

All our email transmissions include contact information and instructions for removal from the mailing list when applicable. Our mailing lists are managed manually by a real person, so any and all legitimate removal requests will be honoured as soon as is practical. It is important to indicate in your request the email address(es) to be removed and the list(s) from which you wish to be removed, if not all of them.

JavaScript, Java and Cookies

We use a little JavaScript code to enhance the visual appeal and informational content of the website. However, our use of JavaScript code is limited to non-essential areas, and the inability of your browser to interpret JavaScript code will not significantly affect your visit to this site.

The web server uses cookies in some places for statistical purposes. We do not make use of Java applets.
