Explanation of the Columns

Close
Latest share closing price.

Average Volume
Average volume traded over the last 20 trading days.

Projected High/Low
The highest or lowest price the share is predicted to reach in the near future, determined by a short Fourier projection.

Days
Number of days until the projected high or low is expected to be achieved.

Change
Percentage gain or loss that would be achieved if the projected high or low is actually reached.

Index of Value
Determined by a proprietary analysis of balance sheet statistics, the higher the index of value the greater will be the long-term capital growth of your investment.

Strategy
Recommended buying or selling strategy, either to buy or sell, and the urgency of the recommended strategy.

Users should note first of all that there is an "Overall Trading Strategy" report. Normally it would only be advisable to act on a short-term trading buy recommendation when the overall market is seen to be in a "Buy" or a "Buy Buy Buy" mood.

Next note that the trading selections are listed in ascending price categories. The cheaper the share the more price volatile it is likely to be which implies, for example, that within the 0 to 99 cents category lie the shares which will probably offer the trader his biggest short-term profits. However, it should also be noted that the cheaper the share the riskier it might generally be considered to be with regard to its long-term investment potential. One should accordingly avoid getting locked into such shares for any length of time.

Within these ascending price categories, shares appear in descending order of ShareFinder's predicted short-term price gains and predicted price losses. In respect of each share there is a "Strategy" report which in the case of predicted price gainers appears first as "Prepare to Buy" and then "Buy" and finally as "Buy, Buy, Buy" as the technical probability of a strong upward price movement becomes increasingly likely.

Prospective bear traders will be interested in the "Sell" lists which similarly are displayed in a descending opportunity basis within a series of ascending price categories. Note also that, depending upon its balance sheet fundamentals, each share selection is accorded a star rating and the computer also calculates how many "Days" are likely to elapse before the share attains its predicted short-term price horizon.
